Hi Everyone,
After more than a decade of using our beloved series images, we have taken the step to refresh and update them.
It has been a massive job as there are hundreds of series on RUSC, but I think these new images look great, and are much more eye-catching than the old ones.
As a community dedicated to preserving and celebrating the nostalgia of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, we want the site to look vibrant, engaging, and welcoming. It’s more than just aesthetics; the right imagery can evoke fond memories and spark renewed interest in these classic shows, and that's got to be a good thing.
Why the Change?
While our old series images served us well over the years, we felt that it was time to bring a fresh perspective. The world of digital media is always evolving, and it was essential for us to modernize our visuals to reflect the vibrant history we are so passionate about. We wanted to breathe new life into RUSC while still paying homage to the iconic series and the beloved actors who brought these amazing shows to life.
With each new image, we've focused on capturing the essence and nostalgia of the series. At the same time we wanted the new images to resonate with both long-time lovers of old-time radio and new members. Hopefully, we've succeeded and that you'll find browsing through the hundreds of series even more enjoyable - and maybe a few series that you'd never considered might now catch your eye.
Your Opinion Matters!
This update comes with a simple hope that you will love them just as much as we do. Your feedback has always been a driving force behind the evolution of RUSC, and we value your opinion and thoughts immensely. It would greatly help us if you share your reactions to the new series images. Please drop a comment below this article or click on the Feedback button located in the bottom right corner of the screen to share your impressions.
Whether you love the new look or have suggestions for other enhancements, please do reach out. After all, this is a community built on shared passion and appreciation for old-time radio, and your voice matters in shaping the future of the site.
A Nod to Nostalgia
As you explore the updated images, we invite you to reflect on what makes old-time radio special. Each series tells a story, not just through its scripts and performances, but also through the visuals that surround them. The art of radio was about creating vivid pictures in the minds of listeners and evoking emotions without the visual elements of film and TV. Our new images aim to preserve that magic while allowing you to connect more deeply with your favorite series.
So, whether you're a devoted fan of Suspense, Archie Andrews, or a lover of the whimsical antics in Lum and Abner, we hope that the new images reignite your love for these timeless classics.
A Bright Future Ahead
In closing, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for being part of our community and helping us evolve. I know lots of people loved the nostalgic feel of the old series images, and change can be daunting, but it also presents an opportunity for growth and improvement. With your continued support and feedback, we want to make RUSC better than ever, and ensure that it serves the needs of all old-time radio enthusiasts, both new and old.
Thank you for being with us on this journey. We hope you enjoy the fresh new look of our series images, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Happy listening,
