The Adventures of Horatio Hornblower

Horatio Hornblower is a captain in the British Royal Navy, an indomitable man of the sea who showed bravery during the Napoleonic era. The radio series was based on twelve Horatio Hornblower novels written by C.S. Forester. While totally fictional they have a realistic tone and historical accuracy in telling the tales of Naval life in the late 1700's through the mid 1800's. There were 52 episodes of this radio series and all exciting, swashbuckling tales are extant and will be made available through RUSC.
